Consultant helps firms achieve business goals

Sunday, June 29, 2008

John Stephen Frederick said his newly formed firm can allow area businesses to tap into his 32-year career in business and media.

The Maximum Companies offer a variety of consulting services including assistance in building sales, increasing efficiency, analyzing liability issues and ensuring compliance with federal rules and regulations.

"I can help retail and wholesale businesses but also have worked with churches and non-profit organizations," Frederick said. Sometimes a business or organization may be on the right track but not achieving the results they want, he said.

"I can bring the huge benefits of a third-party person looking at things from different perspective," he said.

The many-pronged responsibilities of managing and operating a business can often get a person sidetracked from their long-term objectives, Frederick said.

"That's where I can help," he said. "Helping people do better is my passion."

Frederick said his standard course of providing that outside assistance takes place through a thorough assessment in which he reviews nearly every aspect of operations.

"I help them seize on their strengths and assess their glaring challenges and help determine why they are challenges," he said.

"Then I'll deliver a list of strategies they can implement to operate more efficiently, grow sales and manage or reduce expenses."

Before proceeding, Frederick said he provides a quote on his fee, which is normally based on the size of the organization and the variety of services he might offer.

"Additional services might include employee training so front line employees can better handle angry customers," he said. Those services might also include team building, sales training, productivity analysis and reviews of payroll expense, Frederick said.

In addition, he offers voice-over service for in-house voice mail recordings, training films and other marketing efforts.

"I've worked in newspaper, radio and television and can help out with marketing," Frederick said.
